Howard Civil Engineering are currently looking for a proactive, autonomous, Project Quantity Surveyor to be based in our head office in Seacroft Leeds and across chosen sites across Yorkshire. Howards current projects range from Earthworks/Remediations, S278 & infrastructure work, Civil Engineering & Groundworks and reinforced concrete work. We have a proven track record of producing quality, whilst adhering to our clients time frames.
Role Overview:
Management of commercial aspect for your dedicated sites across Yorkshire.
Monitor project costs through the life of the scheme and adhere to budgetary restraints, producing monthly costs and values.
Maintain accurate records and project costs.
Preparation, submission and agreement of monthly applications for payment.
Ensure cost control is maintained.
Administer contracts (NEC/JCT/Bespoke) efficiently.
Measure and value works carried out on site with absolute perfection and detail.
Procurement, assessment, certification and reconciliation of sub-contractor applications.
Track changes to design and capture variations.
Review progress against programme.
Cost value reconciliation on schemes.
Assist in the tendering process.
Provide contract support to Contracts and Site Managers.
Report and upload valuation, final payment and accurate MOS value.
Role Requirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field.
Proven success as a Quantity Surveyor in the Civil Engineering sector with at least 5 years experience.
Strong contractual knowledge (NEC/JCT).
Knowledge of cost control methodologies
Proficient in Microsoft packages with a strong focus on Excel.

Package:
£45,000 50,000 per annum.
25 days holiday (Increasing by 1 day per year of service).
